Patsy Coe, 84, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Patsy was born on March 18, 1939, in Cleveland to the late J.D. Ratcliff and Mildred Metcalf.
Patsy was a loyal and loving wife to Billy Coe for 69 years. She was a selfless stay at home mom and homemaker. She loved spending time with her daughter who was her best friend and her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Patsy was beautiful inside and out. She was a beacon of light, radiating joy and love to everyone she met. She always had an easy smile and a kind word for every person she encountered. She loved the Lord with all her heart, always praising Him and professing His love and goodness. She never let the circumstances of life get her down and faced each day with optimism and hope. Patsy was a remarkable example of a Christian woman, magnifying love, grace, and compassion.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kelly Metcalf her beloved stepmother and best friend, Wilma Ratcliff; and her grandson, Choe Coleman Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 69 years, Billy Coe; daughter, Cathy (Barry) Hayes; grandchildren, Casey (James) Fields; and Christopher Coleman; her great grandchildren, Celsie (Isaac) Melton, Brady Steward, Addilyn Fields; great great grandchildren, Kaysen Melton and Kolsten Melton; siblings, Gene Ratcliff, Abbie Patterson; best friend of 77 years, Clara Walker; and her beloved dog and loyal friend, Bear; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland at 2:00 pm. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens.
