Yvette "Ouellette" Plodzik

Yvette S. Plodzik, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7th, after a short stay with the wonderful team at Bellamy Fields in Dover, NH, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in 1943, Yvette was raised in Berlin, NH, and graduated from Notre Dame High School. She went on to attend the NH State Hospital School of Nursing in Concord, where she met the love of her life, Stanley. They shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.

Yvette dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse, spending several decades at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, where she eventually became Head Nurse of the Pediatric Unit. Her compassion extended beyond her profession - she was always opening her home and heart to family, friends, and neighbors.

She was a proud and devoted mother to three children, a beloved grandmother to seven, and was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first great-grandchild. Yvette's involvement in the lives of her family brought her immense joy. Whether attending school events, cheering at sports games, or simply offering a warm hug and encouraging words, she was a constant, loving presence.

Yvette was actively involved in the Quota Club, a dedicated member of St. Joseph's Church, and played a vital role in raising her grandchildren. Her generosity, sense of humor, and warm hospitality left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

She loved sunshine and the ocean, cherished her backyard pool, and enjoyed annual trips to Florida and Barbados with Stan. Her favorite time of year was Christmas - she spent all year gathering thoughtful gifts and decorating every room in her home with holiday cheer. A highlight of her life was a family cruise celebrating her and Stan's 50th wedding anniversary.

Yvette is survived by her devoted husband, Stanley J. Plodzik Jr.; her son Jon and his wife Tracie of Grantham, NH; her daughter Lisa of Coral Springs, FL; and her son Greg and his wife Kelley of North Andover, MA. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 12th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Wiggin-Purdy Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave, Dover, NH. A funeral Mass will follow on Saturday, September 13th at 10:00 AM at the Parish of the Assumption – St. Joseph's Church, 150 Central Ave, Dover, NH.

Yvette's life was a beautiful example of love, kindness, and service - she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
