Patsy Culver

A memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Patsy Carter Culver will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia at 11:00 a.m.

Patsy was born August 13, 1940, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Jesse James Carter and Norma Ella Bright Carter. She entered into rest on October 13, 2025, in Minden, Louisiana. Patsy was one of a kind. With a quick wit, and a kind word, Patsy enjoyed life. Patsy and her husband Huey enjoyed traveling by taking day trips, where they enjoyed seeing new places, and finding new places to eat. Patsy’s favorite had always been fried chicken, fish, and brownies. She had traveled to California once to see her sister, and to visit wine country. It was a memorable trip for her and the family members she was visiting. Patsy also loved her cows, and her dog Dinky. She was also deeply knowledgeable about the history of Bienville Parish, and the Gibsland area. Patsy is going to be missed greatly by all those that knew her.

Patsy is preceded by her parents, Jesse and Norma Carter; husband, Huey Culver; and sister, Ruby Pickler and husband George (Kip).

Left to cherish her memories are her nieces, Dorothy Womack and husband Willie, and Linda Barnhill; special friends, Belva Ann Griffin and Danny Collinsworth; and by many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
