Our angel mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother departed this mortal life on Thursday, September 5, 2024 surrounded by her family at the home of her son in Riverton, Utah.
Her life began on May 18, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah, being the only child of Robert and Beverly Dell.
Patsy married Robert Loren “Spike” Baxter on August 3, 1961. They just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.
Their love story began at the age of 13 when Spike rode his bicycle to her house to visit her every day.
At the age of 17, she married the love of her life. They resided in Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent time at their cabin during the summer months.
In 2004 they moved to Dameron Valley outside of St. George, Utah. When Patsy’s health failed, they moved in with their son to Riverton, Utah.
Patsy was a kind and loving soul. One of her greatest accomplishments was her love for her family. She was a second mother to many and especially to her grandchildren. She attended sports games, gymnastic practices, and recitals. It didn’t matter what is was, she was always there to support them.
We will never forget her famous pumpkin roll and orange rolls, which were her specialty. She loved scuba diving, fishing, bowling, country music, Lake Powell trips, pizza nights with neighbors, and golfing in the women’s league with her golf buddy Natalie Montoya.
Patsy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Patsy is survived by her husband Robert Loren “Spike” Baxter; son Todd Matthew (Amy) Baxter; grandchildren Candice (Byron) Faux, Danielle Baxter, Christopher Baxter, and Karissa Owen; great-grandchildren Katelyn and Brayden Farnsworth.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Beverly Dell.
The family wishes to thank Intermountain Hospice caregivers and the helping hands they received during this difficult time.
