Patsy Lou (Stepp) Dunlap, 86, a long-time resident of Penelope, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30 at Wade Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Woodall officiating. Interment will follow in Penelope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29 at the funeral home. Patsy was born May 15, 1939 in Penelope to Arnold and Ethel (Christian) Stepp. She lived most of her life in the Penelope area and attended Penelope schools. Patsy was a beautician and owned and operated her own shop in Penelope for many years. She later worked at Craft Gallery in Waco. Patsy enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald R. Dunlap; three brothers, Arnold Stepp, Jr., Robert Stepp and Doyle Stepp and a sister, Geneva Dickey. Survivors include three children, Craig Dunlap and spouse, Barbara of Clifton, Marsha Albee and spouse, Eric of China Spring and Rhonda Beckles and spouse, J.R. of Frisco; a sister, Naomia Scott of Penelope; five grandchildren, Tyler Dunlap and spouse, Lauren, Cody Dunlap and spouse, Megan, Megan Dunlap and spouse, Dakari, Sierra Beckles McGruder and spouse, Nick and Shyan Beckles and spouse, Xavier; 15 great-grandchildren, Kase Dunlap, Charlie Dunlap, Logan Dunlap, Caleb Dunlap, Abby Dunlap, Londyn Moland, Dakari Bracy, Kaine Bracy, Kali Bracy, Nick McGruder, Chance McGruder, Maverick McGruder, Jayce Sanders, Svea Sanders and Koda Sanders and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Pallbearers will be Brandon Paranuk, Nike Paranuk, Rick Nichols, Richard Johnson, Justin Bradley, Robbie Stepp and Bryan Harcrow.
