Patsy Ruth "Pat" (Briscoe) Easley, 95, a life-long resident of Jackson County, passed away at her home early in the morning on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Pat was born on May 3, 1929, as the first child of Loyd and Iva (Williams) Briscoe in Hess, Oklahoma. She grew up in the Hess area during the Great Depression and World War II. She married the love of her life, Donald Easley, on November 3, 1947, and they had 58 wonderful years together until his passing on June 8, 2006. A life-long member of Hess Baptist Church, Pat gave her life to Christ in the summer of 1941 at the age of 12. She dedicated her life to her family, raising two daughters and devoting herself to her grandchildren in her later years. Pat spent her life trying to demonstrate the same love of Christ that she had received during the summer revival in 1941.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Easley; a daughter, Karen Crow; a granddaughter, Nicole (Crow) Marshall; her parents, Loyd and Iva Briscoe; her sister, Peggy Risinger; her brothers, Sonny Briscoe and Kenny Briscoe; and two nieces, Janice Hardwick and Kim Briscoe.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Kathy Busby and husband, Mark, of Altus; a son-in-law, Jerry Crow, of Altus; her grandchildren, Kasey Summers and husband, Joe, of Altus; Jennifer Claverie and husband, Lance, of Altus; Andrea Busby of Altus; Andrew Crow and wife, Mai, of Sebastian, FL; Emily Crow and partner, Zachery Stover, of Altus; Lexie Busby of Altus; and Courtney Lewis and husband, Andrew, of San Antonio, TX; seventeen great grandchildren; her sister, Jane Beach, of Elmer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Milner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hess Cemetery, south of Altus, under the care of the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory.
