Patsy Mae Franklin

Patsy Mae Franklin, age 66, of Conowingo, MD passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Born in Marion, NC on November 2, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Paul Edward and Mamie Melvina (Effler) Simmons. Patsy greatly enjoyed going to yard sales, flower gardening in her yard, which was her happy place, and listening to her most favorite music artist, Elvis Presley, of whom she was a lifelong fan. She was a very crafty and creative person. Patsy loved painting furniture and creating her own decorations for her home. Her favorite style of decoration was country, keeping true to her roots of being a country girl at heart. Patsy is survived by her son, Eddie Simmons, of Conowingo, MD; seven grandchildren: Brandon, Joey, Alisha, Brian, Bradley, Donald, and Andrew; sister, Susan Stillerman and her husband, Neil, of Baltimore, MD; and three brothers: Eddie Simmons and his wife, Peg, Paul Simmons, and Tony Simmons and his wife, Tammy, all of Baltimore, MD. In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Franklin and her sister-in-law, Sharon Simmons. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, October 8, 2018 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. A celebration of Patsy's life will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the funeral home, where friends and family may visit beginning at 10am. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith in Baltimore, MD.
