Patsy Germain

Patsy Germain (Billingsly) died quietly at home on May 7, 2023 at the age of 89. She was born in Temperance MI. She met the love of her life James Germain at Handy High School in Bay City MI. Shortly after graduation they were married, and at the time of her death, she and James had been happily married 69 years.
Patsy is survived by her husband James, her daughter Sandie Germain, her son in law Ken Sponenberg, and granddaughter Alanda (Louis) Wolf. Patsy was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Sponenberg (Germain).
Patsy was an example of a life well lived. She had a kind and generous heart, and was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She was supportive of her daughters' interests, spending a lot of time and effort to promote their success.
In addition, she managed the residential real estate holdings of the family. Managing as many as 40 units at one time. She managed the finances, contractors, and tenants. Most of the time making it look easy.
She and James traveled the country extensively often with cherished friends. It is unlikely that there were any places left she still wanted to visit. For many years they were traveling as much as 26 weeks a year, and she loved every minute of it.
Gephart Funeral Home has arranged a graveside service to be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bay City, MI. The service will be held on May 18, 2023 at 10 a.m. All friends and family are welcome to attend the service and internment.
