Patsy Burgess Gray

Funeral services will be Friday, March 24, 2023, at 12:30 p.m., at Collier-Butler Chapel for Patsy Burgess Gray, 74, of Gadsden, who went to her heavenly home Tuesday, March 21, 2023, after an extended illness. Reverend Kenneth Lasseter will officiate. Interment will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services.
Patsy was a graduate of Etowah High School. She grew up in the Gospel Temple Baptist Church, later joined Fairview Baptist Church and Bellevue Baptist Church. She was employed as a nurse by the Baptist Hospital and later Riverview Medical Center and Regional Medical Center. Patsy loved the outdoors, any kind of riding in the country, going on vacation to the Smokey Mountains and the beach, and being with her family. She had a love for traveling and visiting new places during her life. Like her husband Doug, she will always be remembered as a huge family person.
She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Gray; her parents Rainey and Marjorie Burgess; son, Jeramy Gray; and special pet, "Maggie".
Survivors include sons, Jason (Janice) Gray, Jonathan (Kristie) Gray; grandchildren, Caleb (Nichelle) Gray, Carson (Mason) Bly, J.J. Gray, and Jase Gray; great grandchild Waylon Bly.
Pallbearers will be Jason Gray, Jonathan Gray, JJ Gray, Jase Gray, Caleb Gray and Mason Bly.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Northside Nursing home and the nurses of the GRMC ER.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:30 to 12:30 with funeral services at 12:30.
