Mrs. Patsy Elaine Bowman Hensley, 80 of Mount Airy, passed away Monday evening, October 6, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Hensley was born in Surry County on April 19, 1945, to the late Murray Greene Bowman and Era Sparger Bowman. She worked for Bray Properties for many years. Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Sherri Brannock Harriman of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Sonyia Brannock of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Tristen Brannock and Chelsea Blevins, Angel Brannock, Kaleigh Brannock, and Richard Brannock; a great-grandson, Teigan Michael Brannock; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Scarlett Bowman of Edmond, OK; special friend, Ricky Arrington; and several other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Johnny Russell Hensley; daughter, Kelly Elaine Hensley; and a son-in-law, Garry Harriman. Graveside services will be held on Thursday October 9, 2025, at 2:00pm in the New Venture Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Boyd officiating. There will not be any formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
