Patsy Louise Herron

Patsy Louise (nee Caudill) Herron, 85, passed away June 5, 2023, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was a long-time resident of Batavia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Olive Caudill of Franklin Furnace, Ohio, and her sister Harriett (Bob) Mullins of Wheelersburg, Ohio.
She was born September 24, 1937, in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. She graduated from Green High School 1955, earned a Bachelor of Science from Rio Grande University and a Master of Education from Xavier University. She married Harold Herron of Franklin Furnace in 1957. They were high school sweethearts. They moved to Clermont County in 1960 and both worked for the Milford Exempted Village School District for more than 30 years. Pat was called "Mom" by hundreds of students.
They raised seven children: Theresa of Owensville; Hal (Debhora) of Batavia; Barry (Anne) of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; Patti (Steven) Karnes of Greenfield, Ohio; Mark (Nancy) of Batavia; Jim (Deanna) of Batavia; Juliann (Joe) Renner of Cincinnati. They have 15 grandchildren: Lynn (Brad) Derflinger, Brooke (Steve) Seibert, Laura (Jonathan) Davia, Caitlyn (Josh) Mobley, Chas (Megan) Herron, Patrick (Lindsey) Karnes, Meghann (Zach) Ackley, Tara (Dusty) Hathaway, Bryn Karnes, Nicholas (Makayla) Herron, Lucas (Alex) Herron, Jared Herron, Madeline (Chase) Van Wagner, Isabella Herron, and Madison Coyle. They also have 23 great-grandchildren.
Patsy taught English and reading in several different grades throughout her career at Milford. She was a referee for high school volleyball across southwestern Ohio and a 4-H advisor. She was a member of the Green High School Hall of Fame. She was a member of St. Louis Church in Owensville where she served on many committees, and she sewed infant baptismal bibs for several years. She loved to sew, do needlework, and make quilts.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation 5 – 8 PM Tuesday June 13, 2023 at Evans Funeral Home 741 Center St. Milford, OH and the Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Wednesday June 14th at St. Louis Church Owensville, OH.
