Patsy Ann Hisey passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024. Patsy was born on July 26, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri to John and Gertrude (Thompson) Sullivan.
She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in the class of 1953.
She married Richard (Dick) F. Hisey on September 21, 1957, and to this union were born 4 children. Patsy was a loving wife and homemaker.
Patsy was a devout catholic and attended St Ann’s Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. She was also a member of the Legion of Mary, for which she served a term as president. She loved spending time with her family and friends, writing poetry, reading, solving puzzles, and dancing. She was a prayer warrior, was fun-loving, feisty, selfless, and she will be dearly missed.
Patsy is survived by 4 children & their spouses: Lori (Charlie) Jacobs, Rich Hisey (Tom Collier), Steve (Kristy) Hisey, and Suzanne (Suzy) Fiegener, 9 grandchildren, Stephanie Densmore, Chuck (Caylin) Jacobs, Kelly Jacobs, Thomas (Kelly) Fiegener, Tyler Fiegener, Brittany (Jacob) Briggs, Grant Fiegener, Mallory Fiegener, and Blake Hisey, 6 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Mary (Augie) Bleyenberg and Janet (Richard) Haynes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Dick; parents, John & Gertrude Sullivan, and sister Doris Forbes.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15th from 6:30-8pm at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Independence, MO, with a rosary at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am on Wednesday, October 16th, with burial to follow at Woodlawn cemetery.
