Patsy Ball Hunt

DURHAM: Patricia "Patsy" Ball Hunt, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Hock Family Pavilion. She was born in Durham to the late Clarence Willard Ball and Emma Mae Harris Ball. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunt is also predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Coy Brinkley Hunt Sr.
Mrs. Hunt was a graduate of Durham High School and a graduate of UNCG where she earned an Associate degree in Accounting. She was employed at various CPA firms as an accountant throughout her career. Mrs. Hunt was also a Den Mother, Sunday School teacher and a member of the Tobaccoland Civitan Club. She enjoyed traveling, camping, the lake, and the beach, but most of all she enjoyed her family. She was most proud of her family and loved hearing "Mother" and "Nannie".
Mrs. Hunt is survived by her daughter, Beth Hunt Alford (Steve); sons, Brink Hunt (Debbie), Brian Hunt (Lisa); grandchildren; Lauren Allen (Jeff), Brad Alford (Tina), Megan Blevins (Mike), Trey Hunt (Whitney), Crystal Crider (Brent), Christopher Hunt (Katie), Clark Woodruff (Casey), and Callie Hill (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Sutton, Brinkley, & Bowen Allen; Reese & Harper Alford; Raylee, Coy IV, & Cameron Hunt; Myus, Maddox, Myla, Michael, Nadia, Zavier & Sasha Blevins; Skylar Hernandez; Leland & Jaxon Crider; Addison Hunt; and Parker, Morgan & Mason Hunt; and Waylon Hill.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 13 at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 14 at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham with Rev. Dr. Suzanne C. Cobb and Rev. Emory Mac Bare. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Brad Alford, Christopher Hunt, Trey Hunt, Jeff Allen, Brent Crider, Mike Blevins, Clark Woodruff and Ryan Hill. Honorary pallbearers will include Mark Harris, Eddie Hunt, Kris Clayton, Tommy Hunt, Tommy Mangum, Arnold Spell, Forrest Ball, Rod Stacy, and Doug Garrell.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hillcrest Convalescent Center and Duke Hospice at Hock Family Pavilion for all their loving care they extended during this time.
