Patsy Rae Jett

Funeral services for Patsy Rae Jett will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Old Anacoco Baptist Church with Reverends Wayne Chance, Kenneth Hodges, Cody Jett, and Brent Casio officiating. The burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service.
A visitation will be held at the church on Monday, September 18th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Patsy was born July 13, 1934, in Florien, Louisiana and passed away September 14, 2023, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 89. Since her marriage in 1952, she has been a resident of Anacoco. Patsy began her career as a secretary at Anacoco School before it was split into elementary and high school. She finished there after 33 years as the secretary at the high school. Patsy was a member of Old Anacoco Baptish Church where she played the organ. She used her green thumb to grow beautiful plants and flowers. Fishing was one of the activities that she enjoyed in her free time. Most of all, she was devoted to her family.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Lee Jett; son, Gary Jett; parents, Horace "Buddy" Hyatt and Katy Coburn Hyatt, and brother, Kenneth Hyatt.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Bobby Ray Jett of Anacoco, LA;
grandchildren, Cody Jett and wife Hilary, Steven Jett, Tony Jett and wife Kelsi, and Paul Jett;
ten great grandchildren;
sister, Barbara Hyatt Stansbury of Anacoco;
niece, Vicki Clement and husband Chad;
friend and caregiver, Vada Williams and husband Jim;
and extended family members and friends.
