Patsy Alice (Godejohn) Jones went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 28, 2024, peacefully at her home in Flo, Texas.
She was born in Cleveland, Texas to Pat and Iva Godejohn on July 4, 1942, leading her to believe the fireworks were for her birthday. She was the second born of four girls. She married Bobby Clinton Jones on December 23, 1959.
Patsy was a loving mother to two children and Nanna to three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and being surrounded by her family. She also enjoyed baseball, particularly the Yankees and Rangers. She attended every event possible where her children and grandchildren were concerned. She was the glue that held the family together as everyone always wanted to be at Nanna's house.
Patsy was preceded in death by both of her parents; her beloved son, Robert Earnest Jones; husband, Bobby Jones; and two sisters, Lanelle Trout (Robert "Bob" Trout) and Margaret "Mammaw" Bertling.
Patsy is survived by sister, Jeannie Lowrance; loving daughter, Annette Cooper and husband, Bill Cooper; grandchildren, Randy Jones and wife, Robin Jones, Sabrina Cooper, and Montey Jones and wife, Alicia Jones; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn Harcrow, Charlie Jones, Kindall Jones, Nicole Jones, William Pemberton, Karly Pemberton, and Robert Jones; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service honoring Patsy's life will be held 2 P.M., Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Jones Cemetery located on the Jones family property. Rev. John Murray will officiate the service. A time of visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
