Patsy was born on March 3, 1963, in Wayne, Michigan, the daughter of Lyle Edsel and Mary Jane (Smith) Wheeler. She attended Hartland Schools and spent most of her life in Fenton.
Patsy lived her life in service to others. Her career was dedicated to caring for children through her work at the Brighton Community Education Friendship Center and Tot Spot. And even in retirement, she continued to dedicate her time to nurturing both children and the elderly. Her love for those around her was unwavering, and her compassion touched countless lives across generations.
Patsy had a passion for gardening and spent many hours tending to her flowers and plants. She also had a soft heart for animals, and they seemed to sense her gentle spirit, always finding comfort in her presence. Patsy took great joy in organizing Wheeler family gatherings, thoughtfully planning the menus, arranging fun activities, and wrangling volunteers to support each event. Her efforts made each celebration truly special. Patsy also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, and crafts.
Patsy’s radiant smile and distinctive sense of style—ranging from bohemian flair to timeless elegance—made her truly unforgettable. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the quiet strength she brought to every room she entered. Her legacy of love and care lives on in the hearts of those she nurtured throughout her life.
