Patsy Imke Lane

Patsy Imke Lane, age 84, passed away peacefully in her home while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in Tarboro, NC. Patsy was born on February 16th, 1938, in Queens, NY to her mother, Patsy Fulford Imke, and her father, Christopher Imke, and grew up in Little Washington, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Browning Lane, Sr. (Larry), and her brother, Steven John Imke (Steve).
Throughout her life, Patsy was a dedicated servant of Christ – spending over 20 years as a hospital volunteer at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, NC. In addition to being a hospital volunteer, Patsy further served others through her time at VOICE, providing Meals on Wheels, and helping at the local soup kitchen in Tarboro. In 1993 Patsy was awarded the Governor's Service Award for her diligent and outstanding volunteer service for her community. Patsy was an active member at Calvary Episcopal Church, and also served as a proud altar guild member for several years. Patsy was a loving and devoted sister, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her brother, Christopher Imke of Rocky Mount, NC; daughter, Patricia Lane Bryant and husband Norman Bryant of Greenville, NC; son, Lawrence Browning Lane, Jr. and Rebecca Lane of Nashville, NC; and her grandchildren, Jameson Bryant, Joshua Bryant, Jordan Bryant, LB Lane, and Mary Pat Lane; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon Bryant, and John Bryant.
Funeral services will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church on Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00 A.M. A reception will follow at Clark Hall.The family will receive friends and family at Patsy's home in tarboro Saturday, May 21, 2022 from the hours of 2 pm until 6 pm.
