Patsy Ann Melott Lassiter, 78, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died on November 5th, 2025 in Oklahoma City. She was born to Walter and Beulah Melott on April 3rd, 1947 in Marlow, Oklahoma. She grew up and lived in the Tipton Orphanage until her Senior year of High School, when she moved to Oklahoma City and graduated from Classen High School. She married Robert "Gary" Lassiter on March 13th, 1968 in Oklahoma City and was married to him until his death, February 24th, 1992. Patsy was a hard and devoted worker her entire life. She worked at ClimateMaster for over 35 years, where she was loved by many. She is survived by daughter Terri Thweatt and Husband Jeff of Oklahoma City, son Robert Lassiter and Wife April of Oklahoma City, Sister Donna Luckey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ruby Wilson and Husband Larry of Mexia, Texas, and brother Michael Melott and wife Sheila of Aztec, New Mexico. Patsy has seven grandchildren (Stacie Scott, Joshua Barton and wife Shayla, Kahla Poire and husband Jacob, Tiffany Barnett and husband Jeffrey, Amber Cashman and husband Stephen, Christopher Lassiter, and Stephen Barton. She also has several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Father Walter Melott, mother Beulah Melott, husband Gary Lassiter, Brother Kenneth Melott, brother Alfred Wayne Melott, and sister Deborah Kay Melott.
There will be a memorial service held at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 2:00 PM on November 17th, 2025. She will later be placed at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City. A special thanks to the staff at Baptist Village Long Term Health and Memory Care, Frontier Hospice and their staff, and the Daily Living Center in Bethany.
