Patsy Noretta McKenzie, beloved mother and MaMaw, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on September 21, 1937, to Fred and Irene Terrett Harrison, Patsy embraced life with a calm demeanor and a strong will, qualities that defined her character throughout her journey.

Patsy was a dedicated family woman who cherished her loved ones deeply. A talented gardener, cook, and seamstress, she took great pride in making clothes for family members and ensuring that they were always well cared for. Her nurturing spirit extended to her membership in the Kenton 1st Baptist Church, where she found community and strength in her faith. After retiring from Dixie Gun Works, Patsy and her late husband, Harold McKenzie, spent half of the year traveling, making memories that her family will forever treasure.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Retta Marvin; son-in-laws, Gary Allen and Bobby Bell II; brother-in-law, Charles Elliott; along with her cherished grandchildren, Beth (Dwayne) Davis, Amanda (Nate) Moorehead, Bo Bell, and Brad Bell. Patsy also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren, Camille Davis, Wrenley Moorehead, Sage Bell, Bradley Bell, Zayden Bell and her loving companion Velvet.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Irene Harrison; her husband, Harold McKenzie; her son, Mark Rushing; daughters, Vanessa Allen and Jo Bell; brothers, Billy Baker and Bobby T. Harrison; and sister, Joyce Elliott.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hospice Compassus and NHC Home Care Lewisburg for their exceptional care and support during her final days.

Patsy's calm presence, unwavering strength, and loving spirit will be profoundly missed, yet her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
