Patsy Sue Aaron Meyer, 86 of Amarillo, Texas, was called home by her heavenly Father Sunday, April 6, 2025, at BSA Hospital in Amarillo. She was born at home outside of Wellington, Texas, on October 10, 1938, to Doyal Granville Aaron and Velma Cass Aaron. Sue’s father Doyal died shortly after her birth, and her mother later married John Clyde Emmert. Sue graduated from Quail High School in Quail, Texas.

On November 16, 1957, Sue married Dale Vance Ratliff outside of Wellington, Texas. She and Dale lived in Wellington until 1965, when they moved their family to Clayton, New Mexico. They moved to Hugoton, Kansas in 1977, where they later divorced. Sue married Ronnie Frank Meyer on October 3, 1980. They lived in Hugoton until April 2022, when they moved to Elkhart, Kansas. After Ron’s death in November 2022, Sue moved to Park Place Towers in Amarillo, Texas, where she lived until her death.

Sue worked for the Hugoton school system and retired after many years of faithful service. She enjoyed playing piano, crocheting, cooking, baking, singing and watching her beloved KU Jayhawks play basketball. She was also a long-time member of PEO.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brothers Jack Aaron, Otis Emmert, Thurman Emmert, J.V. “Shorty” Emmert, John “Dub” Emmert and Tommy Emmert; her sisters Joy Emmert, Corene Childress and Virginia Kimbro. She is survived by her sister Nancy Emmert Harris of Wellington, Texas; her sons Aaron Ratliff and wife Dana of Amarillo, Texas, Leonard Meyer and wife Brenda of Vineland, Colorado, Mike Meyer and wife Jennifer of Newton, Kansas; daughters Tammie Miller and husband Tom of Quapaw, Oklahoma, Carman Wilson and husband Roger of Amarillo, Texas, Risa Meyer of Rolla, Kansas and Shara Bane and husband Andy of Cheney, Kansas.

She was the proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was an unwavering, faith-filled child of God. She loved Jesus and shared His message of salvation every chance she got. She loved her family fiercely and was our prayer warrior. She prayed, God listened, and miracles happened. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
