Mrs. Patsy "Herrington" Miller, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Born to the late Harry Herrington and Nell Herrington, Patsy was born in Gainesville, Georgia, and worked for Bellsouth until retiring.
She would like to pass on the recipe for her World Famous Peanut Brittle:
1 cup Sugar
½ cup white Karo Syrup
1 cup Peanuts
1 tsp Baking Soda
Combine sugar and syrup in 2 quart saucepan, cook until nearly melted. Add peanuts and stir.
Cook until light brown or spins threads. Take off heat, and add baking soda.
Mix until turns golden brown. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet and let cool.
Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 12:30 PM, in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 4-8 PM. Reverend Mike Taylor, Reverend Jonny Stone and Reverend Boone Strickland will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Springway Baptist Church, on Old Cornelia Highway, in Gainesville, Georgia.
