Patsy Moore, age 89, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Hospice of Wichita Falls in Wichita Falls, Texas. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home, with Dr. Chad Edgington, pastor of Olney First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney, Texas.

Patsy was born on February 21, 1936, in Lamesa, Texas, to the late Orvill and Reba (Conradt) Hale. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1957 with a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree. She married David S. Moore on March 25, 1961, in Goldthwaite, Texas; they moved to Olney in 1967 from Denver, Colorado. They spent fifty years together before he preceded her in death in August of 2011. Patsy was a retired teacher; she was very active at First Baptist Church, where she taught third-grade Sunday school for many years. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Olney Recreation Association. Patsy and Dr. Moore loved to travel with friends to watch the Lady Longhorns play basketball. She had a soft spot for anything sweet.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. David S. Moore, her son, Jon David Moore, and her sister, Mildred Chaney.

Patsy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debra Dyer and husband Barry of Holliday, Texas, and her two grandsons: Devin Dyer of Holliday, Texas, and Dalton Dyer of Wichita Falls, Texas.
