Patsy Rae Morgan, age 74, died peacefully and unexpectantly on August 1, 2022 in Omak, Washington, in the late evening with her sister Jan Hope who held her hand and was by her side when she passed, she was only 74 years young. She is survived by her eldest Son Gary Morgan of Kamloops, BC, Daughter Bobbi Morgan (Husband - James Kathrein) of Whitehorse, Yukon, and daughter Dawn Morgan of Kamloops, BC, also Pat's granddaughter Morgan Black of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Sister Jan (Lance) Hope of Omak Washington, and her brother Bob (Faye)Featherly, of Arco, Idaho, and her special sister in-law the late Myrna Featherly. Pat is predeceased by her parents John & Berniece Featherly, also predeceased by her first late husband and father of her children, Robert Morgan, of Hat Creek, BC, Canada, she leaves behind numerous step children & step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends..
Pat was born in Omak, Washington on November 4, 1947, she attended the Omak High School, she worked in the apple orchards throughout the Okanagan Valley, resided in Orville for a few years, Moved to Canada, lived in 16 mile raising their three children with her first late husband Robert Morgan, she gained the knowledge of how to make fish gill nets and dip-nets to fish on the family rock by the Fraser River, she then became to master various styles of canning, smoking and drying of salmon, traditional Shuswap style. She was the proudest when she had caught a Spring Salmon in her custom-made gill net that she had designed, that fish was taller than her youngest daughter. She loved making her famous ham hock soup & Bannock. They later moved to Ashcroft, BC, she enjoyed waitressing at one point in her career, enjoyed sewing, odd jobs of cleaning when she lived in Cache Creek, BC. She resided in Kamloops for a few years of her life to be closer to her adult children. Later on, she moved and resided in Penticton, She later then moved and worked Janitorial at the Victoria Museum & Archives in Victoria, BC. From there she moved back home to Omak, WA in 1990 to help with her elderly mother, Patsy was dedicated to always working hard and taking care of others. Her biggest smiles were when she was taking care of Snowbirds children, she was very proud to call those kids her grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her free-spirited lifestyle, a gypsy some might say, was proud of her many tattoo's, she lived vicariously by her own rules, had a true fashion sense of tank tops & loved anything Levi's, a true Scorpio, who liked to read her horoscope daily! her laugh was contagious, her final wishes are for her ashes are to be scattered in the Pacific ocean to swim amongst the killer whales in her final journey.
Pat will be cremated, no viewing as per Pat's request, the family will have a private memorial at a later date. We LOVE you and will miss you dearly, god speed, see you on the other side Mumsie!
