Mrs. Patsy Neighbors Morgan, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Wake Med in Raleigh, NC, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services will be 2:00PM-Friday, October 17, 2025 at Elevation Methodist Church, Benson, NC. Rev. Donald Sadler and Rev. Ron Gurganus will officiate. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery Community Mausoleum.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Johnston County on April 25, 1945 to the late William Kenneth Neighbors, Sr. and Maude Johnson Neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Edwin Morgan, and brothers, Joseph Donwell Neighbors, and William Kenneth Neighbors, Jr. Mrs. Morgan was a 1966 graduate of Forsyth Memorial Hospital Nursing School, where she became a registered nurse. Following her nursing career, she helped her late husband launch Lee & Morgan Roofing Co, and following his passing she became president. She was an active member of Elevation Methodist Church, where she was the children’s Sunday School Teacher, children’s choir and acolyte director, and served in many other capacities. Mrs. Morgan was a strong and well-respected supporter of her community. She found joy in gardening and purpose in caring for others, always offering her love and compassion.
Survivors include her daughters, Candace Morgan and Stevie Stanley, and Laine McLamb and husband, Ross; sister, Judith N. Blackmon, and husband, M.C.; the loving Morgan Family; and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00PM-1:45PM, Friday prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall, and other times at the home.
