Patsy Ruth Neff

Patsy Ruth "Pat" McKee Neff passed away January 28, 2022, in Austin, Texas. Pat was born October 5, 1930, in San Saba, Texas to James Luther "Red" McKee and Lillie Maude Reavis McKee. Pat was preceded in death by her parents as well as her older brother, Nolan McKee, a sister-in-law, Minnie B. McKee and nephews, Norman McKee and Gerald McKee.

Pat was married in 1954 to Ret. Colonel John H. Neff II (deceased) in Tokyo, Japan. They had three children together. After living in various places, Pat and her family moved to Austin, Texas from Oslo, Norway in 1967. Austin remained Pat's home for the duration of her life.

Pat is survived by daughter Jatana C. Galant and husband, Carl, of Austin, son John H. Neff III and wife, Traci, of Llano, and son James L. Neff and wife, Nan, of Wimberley; grandchildren Daniel Johnson and wife Dori, David Neff and wife Lindsey, Jennifer Johnson, Mark Neff, John K. Neff, Michael J. Neff, and Jack Neff; great-grandchildren, Luke Johnson, and Dylan Neff. Pat is also survived by niece Linda Evans, Jean McKee, and Kay McKee and their respective families. She is also survived by long time best friend and companion, Sam Hustede, of Austin, Texas.

Visitation will be on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Texas. Burial will be private at Richland Springs Cemetery.
