Patsy “Pat” Earlene Hise Sprague, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday November 10, 2025, at Chautauqua Health and Rehabilitation. She was born April 2, 1939, in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Earl and Vada Rumsey Hise. Pat was retired from the Daviess County School System and volunteered after her retirement at Daviess County Middle School, East View Elementary School and at the former Daviess County Hospital. Beyond work, Pat enjoyed spending time shopping, even if they were just “looking” and also loved to spend time traveling.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Tomas Nealon Sprague; brothers, Lloyd and Lowell Hise; and a sister, Helen Russell.
Pat is survived by her sons, Mike (Juanita) Sprague and Donald Sprague; grandchildren, Mallory Elliott and Cora Wrona; and a great-grandson, Maverick Wrona.
The funeral service for Pat will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday November 13, 2025, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Brian Hedges officiating. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. John United Methodist Church 2160 Griffith Avenue Owensboro, KY 42301.
