Patsy "Pat" Thompson Obituary
Patsy Ruth Thompson was born on December 24, 1937, to Marion Edward and Emma Marine Russell in Bowie, Texas. On August 24, 1956, she married Walter Gene Thompson.
For nearly 30 years, Patsy worked as a registered nurse at Gainesville Memorial Hospital and later North Texas Medical Center. Following her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with friends, driving the country roads, and being at home with her beloved dog, Dolly.
Patsy passed away at the age of 87 on August 30, 2025, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her four daughters, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
