Patsy Payne met her Heavenly Father at the golden gates on Thursday, April 10th, 2025. She was born December 16th, 1943, in Morgantown, Arkansas, to James W. Payne and Helen M. Payne.
Patsy's avid love for gardening and flowers was well known to everyone who knew her. She found immense joy in tending to her garden, often spending hours outside nurturing her garden and taking care of her flowers. She also loved fruit trees. Her passion extended beyond just planting and tending; she also cherished and took pride in canning and making jelly from their harvests.
In addition to her green thumb, Patsy had a special place in her heart for her dogs, who were her constant companions and brought her endless happiness. Her home was always filled with wagging tails and joyful barks, a testament to the love she had for her furry friends.
Patsy will be remembered for her dedication to her garden, culinary skills in preserving nature's bounty, and unwavering affection for her dogs. Her memory will forever bloom in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Quattlebaum. Patsy is survived by a brother, Bill and wife Floy Payne of Rogers; sister, Barbara and husband Eldon Spears of Greenbrier; sons; John Sawyer of Big Flat, Tony and wife Shannon Sawyer of Bee Branch, 5 grandchildren; John Harley Sawyer of Searcy, Dalton and NancyAnn Sawyer of Heber Springs, Cade and Kassidy Sawyer of Cleveland, Bryce Sawyer of Conway, and Riley Sawyer of Ward; a special niece and nephew, Shelly and husband Wayne Canady, who helped take care of her; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of friends and family.
Visitation service is from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Clinton Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Monday, April 14, 2025, at Clinton Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Michael Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at Colony Cemetery in Bee Branch, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be: Cade Sawyer, John Harley Sawyer, Dalton Sawyer, Roger 'Conway' Payne, Robert Quattlebaum, Ashton McClellan, with honorary pallbearers: Josh Gurley and Caleb Betts.
