Patsy Pearce Obituary
She was born in Halifax County, North Carolina to the late Rupert W. Hasty, Sr. and Clara Bell Glover Hasty and was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Gay Pearce.
Patsy loved her family and enjoyed her Mount Carmel Community. She loved serving as the secretary and treasurer for Mount Carmel Baptist Church, where she was a member. Patsy also was a dog and cat lover.
She is survived by her sisters, Betty Anderson and Winnie Callahan; her brother, Rupert W. Hasty Jr.; her nephews, William R. Massey, III and his wife, Robin, Bentley H. Massey and his wife, Barbara and Patrick Neil Callahan and his wife, Beth; her nieces, Tammy Jenkins and her husband, Andy, Starlynn Hasty and Ashley Hasty.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Godwin officiating.
Interment will follow in Jackson Cemetery in Jackson, NC.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services – Jackson.
