Patsy M. Resch, 92, Wausau died Monday, December 22, 2025 while under the care of Aspirus Hospice at Wausau Manor.
She was born November 24, 1933 in Wausau, daughter of the late Leonard and Ethel (Schmitz) Resch.
Patsy loved to watch wildlife and enjoyed being outdoors. She also had a passion for working with the Women’s Community and even traveled to Nicaragua for them to speak. Patsy and Dale loved to travel while the kids were young and together up until they divorced.
Patsy was preceded in death by her son, Paul Allen Fichtner, her ex-husband, Dale Allen “Skip” Fichtner, sisters, Mary Joe (Resch) Knapp and Sally Ann Olbrantz (Resch) and her husband John.
She is survived by her son, Marc Allen Fichtner, her sisters, Joan Marie Froehlich (Resch) and her husband, Henry, Sandra Ann Roll and her husband Jim and her brother Leonard George Resch Jr and a brother-in-law, Wayne Knapp.
At Patsy’s request there will be no formal services. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.petersonkraemer.com
