Patsy Lue Stewart Rice, 77, of Judsonia, AR passed away in her home on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 with both of her sons by her side. Pat was born August 24, 1947 in Searcy, AR to Jack and Heartha Jane Britton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hulon Rice, and her brother, Lynn Britton. Pat was loved dearly by her family and friends, and she fiercely loved them back. Spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do. She enjoyed having everyone in her home, and she also planned memorable adventures and trips for her family through the years. Most of all, she was a safe place for her family and close friends to just be.
Pat worked for over three decades in retail and service management mostly associated with Sears, and she proudly operated her own service business for 1/4 of the state of Arkansas before she retired. She was independent, resilient, and resourceful as she worked and raised her two sons. She was a woman of strength, faith, and generosity. If her family needed anything, she was always ready to give of her time, her money, and herself. She was a member of the Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church.
She loved flowers, especially roses. This love led to a long-standing hobby of hunting for and collecting the Moss Rose tea set pieces at flea markets all over the state with her friends. She displayed her roses proudly and hosted special tea parties with her granddaughters. Many fond memories were made, and each granddaughter now has pieces of their own from Pat. She enjoyed giving her only grandson, Henry, special hand-me-downs from her sons and made sure he was supplied with his favorite pop tarts and popsicles. Her grandchildren could not have had a better Pattigrams/Pims.
She is survived by her sons and their families: Cole and Angela Stewart, Joshua and Dana Stewart, four grandchildren: Macey, Sadie, Jewel, and Henry, and two sisters: Sharon Yingling and Karon Cleveland.
Her memorial will be held at Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, April 27th at 2:00pm. There will be no graveside service.
