**Obituary for Patsy Jane Riggs (1932-2026)**
Patsy Jane Riggs, age 93, of Muldrow, Oklahoma, passed away on February 11, 2026, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She was born on July 30, 1932, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Jane (Neal) Woodward and Harvey Woodward.
Patsy was united in marriage to Wadie Lee Riggs on December 24, 1949, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and they shared a loving life together until his passing on July 1, 2011. Patsy was co-owner and operator of Riggs Furniture and Manufacturing. In addition to her professional endeavors, she was a devoted homemaker and beautician, radiating warmth and kindness in everything she did.
A cherished member of the Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church, Patsy devoted many years to teaching Sunday School and was known for her beautiful voice, singing with The Maple Gospel Singers Quartet. Her commitment to her community was reflected in her membership with the Order of the Eastern Star.
Patsy is lovingly remembered by her family, which includes her daughter, Sandy and Mike Henson of Fort Gibson, OK; her son, David and Vicki Riggs of Muldrow, OK; daughter-in-law, Dianne Riggs of Muldrow, OK; five grandchildren, Jerry Riggs, Billy and Johnna Riggs, Donald and Sherry Riggs, Whitney Riggs-Haaksma, and Jonathon and Amber Henson; 12 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Jo Ella Morton of Muldrow, OK, along with numerous relatives and dear friends who will all deeply miss her.
Patsy was preceded in death by her son, James Harvey Riggs; her loving husband; her parents; and one granddaughter, Leah Riggs.
A funeral service to celebrate Patsy’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Mineral Springs Freewill Baptist Church, followed by burial at Maple Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma. The service will be conducted under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Active pallbearers will include Jerry Riggs, Billy Riggs, Jonathon Henson, Donald Riggs, Whitney Riggs-Haaksma, and Mike Henson.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on Friday from noon to 8 PM at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, where the family will be present to greet guests from 6 to 8 PM.
Patsy’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication to her family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
