Patsy Russo

Patsy (Pat) Ann Russo, 75, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2026. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 years, Pasquale Russo, mother, Josephine Shortt, in-laws, Vincent and Josephine Russo, and her brother Earl Shortt. Pat is survived by her children, James Russo (Katie) and Andrea Hankey (Andre) and the lights of her life, her four grandchildren Aliya Hankey, Vincent Russo, Cameron Hankey, and Anthony Russo. She is also survived by loving family and friends, especially Kim and George Harmening and family, Bill Becker and Nancy Blanch, and Marni Becker and Eddie Slomba.

Pat was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She was raised in a warm Italian home owned by her grandparents Francesca and Francesco Costantino. These early years in the kitchen alongside her grandmother, or Mama as Pat called her, are what sparked her passion for cooking which continued to feed her soul and those around her until the very end. While working as a Phlebotomist in Hamilton, Pat met her devoted husband Pasquale on a blind date and they married shortly after. They raised their two children for 13 years in Hamilton before moving back to Pasquale's hometown of Binghamton. Pat worked as a Teacher's Aide at Binghamton City School District, a Phlebotomist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and concluded her career as a Human Resources representative with Lourdes. Pat's greatest joys came from cooking, baking, crocheting, cross stitching with friends and spending time with her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 4pm Thursday, January 22 at SAVAGE-DeMarco Funeral Service, 338-344 Conklin Ave, Binghamton, NY 13903.
