Patsy Elizabeth Sawyer

Patsy Elizabeth Sawyer, born on December 14, 1948, in Tylertown, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi at the age of 77. 

Patsy was a lifelong resident of the Brandon and Pearl area. She lived a simple and fulfilling life, grounded in her Baptist faith. Those who knew her remember her many passions, including crocheting, relaxing while watching westerns and sitcoms, her fondness for cats, and especially her love for peanut butter and banana wheat bread sandwiches.

She was born to Eva Lee and Alvin Sawyer, who have since passed. Patsy was also preceded in death by her brother William Sawyer. She is survived by her three sons: Jessie B. Jones, James William Jones, and Danny Lester Jones. She is also survived by her siblings Ricky Sawyer, Peggy Herrin, and Mike Hill and her two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor Patsy's life will be held on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Brandon, located at 1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042.

Patsy Elizabeth Sawyer's quiet strength, warmth, and love will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We remember her as a kind soul with a heart full of simple joys and lifelong love for those around her.
