Patsy Scoggins

Mrs. Patsy Ada Rhyner Scoggins, age 78, of Griffin, passed away July 9, 2025. Patsy grew up in Attapulgus, GA, daughter of the late Walter Rhyner and Ada Wilson Rhyner. Patsy was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and worked at Brightmoor Nursing Center in Griffin for many years. Although she was known as a hard-headed redhead, Patsy was kind and had a heart of gold. She spent much of her time caring for the sick and helping others. She enjoyed camping and looking for deals at yard sales and pawn shops. Patsy loved 60's music, especially songs by the Moody Blues and the Rolling Stones.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Britney Trawick.
She is survived by her husband: William Franklin "Bill" Scoggins; daughters: Audrey Slade and ViBee Kennedy; son: Randy Scoggins; grandchildren: Cameron Slade, Paige Earp, Colby Kennedy and Angelica Kennedy; great-grandchildren: M.J. Slade, Angel McCall, Airianna McCall and Collin Kennedy.
She is also survived by her brother: Walter "Buck" Rhynder (Jackie) and his family.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., at the funeral home. A celebration of life service for Patsy will follow at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home. ***Click here to watch the service for Patsy held on Tuesay, July 22, at 1 p.m.***
