Patsy Ruth (Ross) Sedlacek, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in Prague, at the age of 84. Patsy was born on December 24, 1940 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Sherman Lee and Oma Viola (Loveland) Ross. Patsy grew up in Seminole and attended Varnum Public Schools. She was a 1958 graduate of Varnum High School. After high school, Patsy, went to work at the Seminole Hospital, where she worked in the office for a few years.
Patsy married Franklin Glen Sedlacek on January 18, 1964 and the couple made their home on the Sedlacek family land in Prague. Together, they raised their son Michael. Patsy was a dedicated wife and mother, tending to the farm, the family and her beloved animals, especially her cats. Patsy was a skilled seamstress, making kolache outfits and Halloween costumes, mostly by hand. Patsy also enjoyed being outdoors. She loved fishing and took great care of beautiful flower gardens. Patsy also enjoyed dancing, particularly American Bandstand Dances. She won many competitions throughout her dancing days.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bobby Ross and his wife, Sue, and Kenneth Ross and her sister, Betty Dawkins and her husband, Howard.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Franklin Glen Sedlacek; her son, Michael Sedlacek Sr.; her grandson, Michael Sedlacek Jr. and his wife, Josie; her sister-in-law, Wanda Ross and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later time.
