It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patsy "Carolyn" Songe, who departed this life on April 8, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on March 25, 1935, in Oil City, Louisiana to parents James Coffman and Ruth Jett.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, April 13, 2026, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church beginning at 9:00 AM until time of the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM, Interment will follow at St. Francis De Sales Cemetery #2.
Carolyn lived a life filled with love and dedication. In her active years, Carolyn was an integral part of the St. Bernadette community, serving as a member of both the St. Bernadette K.C. Auxiliary and the St. Bernadette Choir. Her contributions to the church and her commitment to service reflected her deep faith and sense of belonging, which she shared with so many around her.
To cherish Carolyn's memories is her children; John Songe (Amy), Wayne Songe (Lori), Nancy Songe Blocker (Bill) and Julie Songe Barrilleaux (Bernie), her grandchildren; Brent Barrilleaux (Cammie), Jessica Barrilleaux Stein (Todd), Lacey Gioir Lena, Jenny Songe Chilton, John Carroll Songe and Kennedy Songe, her sister, Sue Coffman Giroir, as well as 7 Great-grandchildren and 3 Great-Great grandchildren and her special friend, Margaret Rhodes.
Carolyn is reunited in Heaven with her husband who was the love of her life, John "Carroll" Songe, her parents, James Coffman and Ruth Jett, and her siblings, Randolph Coffman and Faye Soudelier.
The family would like to thank the Heritage Manor for their care, love and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Bernadette Catholic Church in memory of Patsy "Carolyn" Songe.
