With deep love and heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Patsy Glynelle Stamport, a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, beloved great grandmother, the most precious mother-n-law and treasured friend. Patsy was called home to be with her Lord and savior on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the age of 80. She was born and raised here in Gonzales, daughter of Isom "Shelby" Baker and Beulah Mae (King).
Patsy met the love of her life, Robert "Bobby" Stamport while in high school, choosing to begin her life alongside him, she graduated early, and two sweethearts were married on August 16, 1963, in Gonzales. Together they shared a marriage that was blessed with enduring love and devotion.
She dedicated her career in banking, with a brief time doing clerical work in the oilfield, she returned home to continue banking for her community. Patsy found joy in life's simple blessings, most of all spending time with her family. She loved putting puzzles together with her grandchildren, baking delicious goods for her loved ones, and creating a home filled with love.
Patsy was a woman of profound kindness, quiet strength, and enduring grace. She welcomed others with an open heart and had an ability to make everyone she met feel like family. She had a love that was boundless, her wisdom was accompanied warmth, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who were blessed to know her.
She was devoted wholeheartedly to her family. Patsy's greatest joy in life, was spent with her loved ones. As a mother-in-law, she was truly exceptional-reliable in her support, bountiful in her love and generous in the care she supplied. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and unconditional love into our lives, and she will always be cherished by the many lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us in body, her love will be carried in our hearts, in the stories we share, and in the lives, she shaped so beautifully.
Patsy is survived by her sister Janice Menking, brother Sherman Baker (Denessa), children, Sheila Johnson (Kenny), Shelby Stamport (Shelly), Shawn Stamport (Brooke), grandchildren, Case Johnson, Dakota Stamport (Allison), Bradley Stamport (Kimberlee), Wyatt Johnson (Cammy), Madison Stamport, Emily Stamport (Peyton), Jolee Bujnoch, Emma Metzler, great grandchildren, Blayzden Stamport, Carter Johnson, Kaislynn Stamport, Brooks Royal and Palmer Johnson and honorary grandchildren Dylan Cantrell, Logan Cantrell and Alyssa Cantrell who will continue to honor her legacy through love, compassion, and the many memories she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stamport, parents Shelby Baker and Beulah McGill, brother Bruce Baker and brother-n-law Melvin Menking.
A visitation will be held at Seydler Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Seydler Hill Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Interment will be follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Daniel Lester, Scott Moeller, Tinker Brown, George Jurek, David Gast Jr. and Darrell Malik. Honorary pallbearers mentioned will be Frank Tousch, Eddie Luera, Mike Baker, Darren Parker and Brian Buesing.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenwood Cemetery.
