Patsy Stephens Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sanders Funeral Home - Lubbock on Nov. 24, 2023.
Patsy Lou (Harris) Stephens was born on March 15, 1934, in McClain County Oklahoma. She was born to Grady and Rosa Harris.
Patsy grew up under the watchful eye of Lillie Farmer, her grandmother, and Rosa Harris, her mother, and spent countless hours at the grocery store on Route 2 Purcell selling Phillips 66 gasoline and granting credit to numerous individuals without any expectation of being repaid. Patsy married Johnie Lynn Stephens on September 15, 1951, and had two children. Patsy was an accomplished bookkeeper, typist, and as she was labeled in high school, a "shorthand shark." Patsy could multi-task before such a term was ever invented. Patsy was a loving and loyal wife and loving and protective mother. She was also a lifelong Church of Christ member. She enjoyed cross-stitching-embroidering and playing piano. Patsy's quick wit and wonderful sense of humor will be sorely missed.
She is survived by husband John Stephens, daughter Patti Tollett and husband James of Lubbock, TX, son John Mark Stephens of Richardson, TX; five grandchildren Lauren, Sarah, Stephen, Evelyn, and Drew; and two great-grandchildren Joey and Wyatt.

I met Patsy when she and her husband John with their two children Patty and John Mark at church .Patty and I became friends. I lost touch with them when I left. She was a very sweet beautiful person.
