Patsy Stephens Obituary
Born on July 10, 1930, in Dyersburg, TN, she was the beloved daughter of the late Aubrey and Annie Mae Jackson Wood. Patsy dedicated 40 years of her life to her career as a shoe salesman, a testament to her hard work and commitment. She was a cherished member of the Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was a woman of many talents, with a love for sewing, cooking, and reading, which brought joy to her family and friends.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2025 at Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Bill Phipps officiating. The family will receive visitors the same day from 12-1:45 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Patsy is survived by her two sons, Randy Stephens and his wife Rhonda of Dyersburg, TN, and Barry Stephens of Orlando, FL; her daughter, Amy Carroll of Dyersburg, TN; five grandchildren, John Tyler Phillips, Samuel E. Stephens, Johnnie Mack Stephens, Amendie P. Stephens, and Annie Mae Harkey; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnnie Stephens, and her siblings, Jack Wood, Tommy Wood, Max Wood, Joe Frank Wood, Barbara Ware, and Winnie Jane Adkins.
Pallbearers will be John Tyler Phillips, Joe Wood, Tim Ware, Dwayne Deal, Dr. Samuel Stephens and Tommy Wood.
Memorials may be directed to Three Oaks Chapel Baptist Church, 1105 Resthome Road, Dyersburg, TN 38024
Patsy's legacy of love and dedication to her family and community will be remembered by all who knew her.
