Patsy Stepp Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Apr. 13, 2026.
Patsy Ann Stepp, age 80, of Strafford, Missouri, passed away on April 13, 2026, surrounded by nothing but love. She was born on July 8, 1945, in Strafford, Missouri, to her loving parents, Mildred and Howard Mathis.

Patsy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Stepp, as well as her parents. Together, Patsy and Ronald were united in marriage on October 19, 1963, eloping together as just kids, building a life centered on love, family, and dedication, heavy on the love.

She is survived by her four sons: Tim and Tracy, and their son Todd; Jody and Shellie, and their children Samantha and TJ; Dwayne and Daniell, and their children Zack and Deven; and Jeff and Robin, and their daughter Shawna. She is also survived by her siblings Peggy Dabney, Linda Brown, Dennis Mathis, and Jim Mathis, all of whom she cherished dearly.

Patsy was the heart of her home-a dedicated homemaker who raised four boys with unwavering love, strength, and care. She had a passion for cooking and was especially known for making what her family lovingly called "the best chocolate pie in the world." Her kitchen was full of mystery and delight, as her recipe cards rarely included names, making every dish a surprise.

She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life-camping, fishing, and spending time at the lake. She treasured those moments deeply, including fishing trips with her son Tim and a recent family reunion trip with her son Dwayne, which became a cherished final memory.

Above all, Patsy will be remembered for her unconditional love, her strength, and her constant presence in the lives of those she loved. Her sons share this message: "We miss you, we love you, and thank you for always being there, no matter what."

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, 10 AM, at Bass Chapel Cemetery in Strafford, Missouri.

Patsy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and shared one of her meals.
