Patsy Stewart Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Laurel Oaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park on Mar. 5, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patsy Mae Stewart, affectionately known as "Granny Pat" and "Mema." Patsy Mae was born on December 29, 1942, in Caddo Mills, Texas, to her loving parents, Robert Morgan Stewart and Lavada Turrentine Stewart. She peacefully went to her heavenly reward on March 3, 2025, in Mansfield, Texas, at the age of 82.
Patsy Mae's life was filled with professional achievements, and she was recognized numerous times for her excellence in her field. She dedicated many years to Raytheon E-Systems from January 1978 to July 2008, where she retired as a respected leader in her field as an Executive Vice President. Her commitment and hard work left an indelible mark on those she worked with who became lifelong friends.
Growing up, Patsy Mae shared her life with two sisters, Nell Newsome and Mary Jo Wallace, and one brother, Oscar Stewart. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Oscar, and her sister Mary Jo. Patsy Mae graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1960, and she went on to build a beautiful family with her child, Stacy Faulkner Carrell. The family moved from Mesquite to Garland and eventually settled in Sachse, where they spent many cherished years together.
Patsy Mae had a passion for travel, exploring destinations both within the United States and overseas. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved family. She adored Stacy, her husband Craig, and their three granddaughters, Taylor Carrell, Corissa Carrell, and Kendall Carrell. Recently, Patsy Mae was blessed with the arrival of her first great-grandson, Grayson Cordle, bringing even more happiness into her life.
Patsy Mae's generous spirit and loving nature extended to her many friends and family members. She was an inspiration to her children and grandchildren, always offering her unwavering support and love. Her presence in their lives will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
As we remember Patsy Mae Stewart, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman whose kindness, dedication, and love left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. She will forever remain in our hearts.
