Kay E. Robertson, born on September 5, 1936, in Henderson, Kentucky, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. A beloved figure, Kay was known for her spunky spirit, compassion for others, unfiltered honesty, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her multitude of talents, from being an outstanding cook to her love of crafting and sewing, enriched the lives of those around her.
Throughout her life, Kay took pride in her leadership roles and community service. She served as the President of the Casselberry Women's Club for many years, a position that allowed her to make lasting contributions to her community. As a Worthy Matron of the Rachel Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Daughters of the Nile, she was highly regarded by her peers and left a significant mark on those organizations.
Kay enjoyed a rich array of hobbies, which included bowling and watching old movies. Notably, she cherished her daily visits to the mall, where she could connect with friends, walk, and enjoy meals together. Her personality drew people in; she was outspoken, yet her caring nature and zest for life made her a cherished companion to many.
Her greatest pride came from her family. She leaves behind her loving sons, Michael Robertson and Tony (Susan) Robertson, her daughter Susan (Robert) Poff, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Each of them carries forward the love and values she instilled in them.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Gough and Mary Gough, as well as her husband, Carl Robertson.
Friends and family are invited to honor Kay's remarkable life during the upcoming services. There will be a visitation held on January 6, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, South Seminole, located at 335 E State Rd 434, Longwood, FL. This will be followed by a funeral service from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the same location. Following these services, Kay will be laid to rest at All Faiths Memorial Park, in Casselberry, FL, at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dementia Societyor Advent Health Hospice Care.
Kay E. Robertson will be profoundly missed, yet her vibrant spirit and lasting legacy will remain ever-present in the hearts of her family and friends.
