Jennifer Sue Goering

Jennifer Sue "Jenny" Goering, 43, of Galva, Kansas, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She was born on November 5, 1982 in Newton, Kansas to Ernie and Florene (Wiebe) Goering.
Jenny graduated from Elyria Christian School with the class of 2001. She later attended LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, and graduated from Central Christian College in McPherson with a bachelor's in business.
Jenny's boast was in Jesus Christ, her confidence was in heaven, and her passion was teaching others to praise Him. She began teaching her younger siblings while they were growing up, later substitute teaching for several years and teaching her own classes for the last three years at Elyria Christian School.
She was a member of the Garden Community Church in rural Moundridge, where she was on the Missions committee and the Women's Ministry committee. Jenny also taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Board and Republican Committee.
Jenny enjoyed raising her goats, and being a beloved aunt to thirteen nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her mother, Florene Goering of Galva; sisters, Cynthia (Caleb) Quick of North Newton, and Sherlynn (Anthony) Livengood of Galva; brother, Matthew (Chelsea) Goering of Galva; and thirteen nieces and nephews, Esther, Cora, Abigail, Peter, Charlotte, Hannah, Tyndale, Judson, Elinor, MaryJo, Danny, Jennalee, and Meadow.
Jenny was preceded in death by her father, Ernie Goering; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Garden Community Church Cemetery, with a celebration of life to follow at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Services will be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/@GardenCommunityChurch.
