After their marriage, Patsy and Bob lived in Norfolk, Virginia for two years before returning to the Jacksonville area. They farmed near Carrollton and Greenfield for 12 years before moving to Jacksonville in 1969.

Patsy was a homemaker and worked at the Capitol Records plant for seven years. In 1984, the couple purchased and operated Twyford Office Supplies in Jacksonville until selling it in 1989.

They later moved to Naples, Florida, where Patsy worked at Hoffman Office Supply and Sam's Club before retiring. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the American Legion Auxiliary. Patsy and Bob enjoyed traveling, motorcycle riding, camping, and golfing.
