Patsy L. Vashey

Patsy L. Vashey (Dunaway), age 61, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025.

A native of Georgia, Patsy was born on November 27, 1964, and was the daughter of Eddie Dunaway and Martha Rooker O'Brien, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who spent her life caring for others.

Patsy was a caregiver at heart and always willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed listening to music, cooking for her family, and spending time outdoors. She never met a stranger, loved her family deeply, and loved her God. Patsy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Thomas C. Vashey; her children, Dana Hudson and Christopher Bailey (Ashley); her grandchildren, Kendall Rollins, Preston Rollins, Lydia Rollins, Christian Bailey, Christina Bailey, Joseph Bailey, Levi Bailey, Helen Dennis, and Anthony Dennis; her sisters, Marsha Brown (Gordon),Marie Kenny, Christy Crowe (Mark)and Viola Rivenbark (Reginald); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Families First Funeral Home.
