Patsy Vigil, age 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 25th, 2024.
Patsy was born on December 29th, 1943 in White Deer Texas, to her mother, Margeret Montano and her father, Ray Vigil. Patsy excelled in everything she did, she was an extremely savvy businesswoman. Patsy had seven siblings Ray Vigil Jr, Linda, Loretta, Ricky, Virginia, Cora and the youngest Paula. Patsy grew up in Amarillo, where she met her first love of her life John Reyes, together they were well known for their moves on the dance floor, winning several dance competitions. With support from her family, she graduated from cosmetology school and earned her license as a hairstylist. Patsy moved to California where she started her family, first Johnny Jr, then Mike and 10 years later Tim. Patsy moved back to Texas to Dallas with her family and at the age of 29 she owned two successful restaurants in the most prestigious part of Dallas located in Highland Park. After exiting the restaurant business in the 80s, Patsy re-entered the field of cosmetology. She had a long successful career spanning over two decades, featured multiple times on Dallas television shows as a guest presenter providing hair, makeup tips and style advise. As most people know Patsy’s passion was music and dancing, she especially loved Tejano music and once on the dance floor you could never get her to stop. Patsy was a woman of God and strong in her faith, she was a caring person who spent most of her life thinking about others. She always surrounded herself with her friends and family, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved. Some of the many wonderful memories her grandchildren will hold in their hearts were the trips to Braum's for ice cream.
