Patsy Lucille Watson. Patsy, 82, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, due to heart failure. She was born in Natchez, Mississippi, the 5th of 9 children. Patsy never met a stranger and brought joy to everyone around her with her warm hugs and infectious smile. She loved her Momma, Elvis, and Floyd Brown. Patsy loved a family gathering and always made sure everyone had enough to eat and a clean kitchen.
Patsy is survived by her sisters Judi Jarreau, and Suzie Dendy (Billy Joe); nieces, Robynne Broussard (Craig), and Christy Wallace (Johnathon); great-nieces, Pacee Wallace, Savannah Broussard and Isabella Broussard; great-nephews, Talan Wallace, Taylor Broussard and Austin Broussard; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Captain William O. Watson and Lucille Taylor Watson; siblings, William O. “Billy” Watson Jr., Betty Henderson, Jimmy Watson, Sammy Watson, Robert Watson, and Mike Watson; Pallbearers will be Johnathon Wallace, Talan Wallace, Craig Broussard, Micheal Pecue, Jerry Falgoust, and William O. Watson IV. Honorary Pallbearers are Shane Blouin and Donald Henderson.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, right next to her momma and daddy.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate caregivers at Lane Memorial Hospital and Oakwood Village Assisted Living for their kindness, love, and support.
