Patsy Sue (Hamlin) White, 94, of
Fort Gibson, OK was born November 4, 1931, in
Fort Smith, AR to Harry and Rena (Self) Hamlin. She joined her husband, Henry, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 2, 2026, in Muskogee.
Raised in Fort Gibson, Pat graduated from Fort Gibson High School before enlisting in the United States Army on May 17, 1951, in Tulsa. She served as a Secretary/Bookkeeper after completing Clerk-Typist School and was honorably discharged from Camp Cook, California, on October 17, 1952.
On July 23, 1955, Pat married her best friend, Henry White, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. With her clerk-typist training, she began her professional journey with Griffin Grocery, where she retired after 25 years. Following her retirement, she worked an additional five years at Mako (7-11 stores). In addition, Pat and Henry enjoyed a total of 27 years serving the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Porum Landing as gate attendants and volunteers.
Pat was deeply involved in her community. She was an active member of the Frank Gladd American Legion Post #20 Auxiliary in Fort Gibson and a devoted member of both Friendship Baptist Church in Porum Landing and Crescent Valley Baptist Church in Tahlequah.
A passionate sports fan, Pat cheered faithfully for Oklahoma Sooners and Dallas Cowboys football teams and rarely missed an OKC Thunder basketball game. Her love for adventure took her camping across all the lower 48 states. In the 1970s, she was an accomplished bowler and later became the reigning video game champion among her grandchildren and many neighbors.
Pat's unwavering support for her husband Henry and her family was a hallmark of her life. Her unconditional love and dedication left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on November 25, 2025; her parents, Harry and Rena Hamlin; brothers, Herschel and Bill Morris; and sisters, Frieda Arie, Shirley Gardner, and Harriet Grieve.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Carla Holuby and husband Ronnie of
Fort Gibson, OK; grandsons, Scott Holuby of San Antonio, TX, Erik Holuby of Fort Gibson, Brett Holuby and wife Karelis of Cypress, TX; great-grandchildren, Brighten Holuby of Bastrop, TX, Angie Lamb of Cypress, TX, and Grace Holuby also of Cypress TX; daughter, Patricia Cline of Davenport, FL; grandsons, Steven Cline and wife Sarah of Davenport, FL, Brent Cline of Davenport, FL, James Cline and wife Jennifer of Black Diamond, WA; great-grandsons, Jameson and Jenson Cline of Black Diamond, WA; brother and sister-in-law, David White and wife Joyce of
Fort Gibson, OK; sister-in-law, Geraldine Allen of McKinney, TX; special friends, Terri and Janice King; special caregivers, Stacy Cutbirth and Holly Bryson; as well as extended family members and many friends.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home in Fort Gibson with the family receiving friends 5PM-7PM.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at 2PM Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Holland Cemetery in
Tahlequah, OK with her brother-in-law, David White, officiating. Full military honors will be observed. Casket Bearers will be Scott, Erik and Brett Holuby, Steven and James Cline and Justin White. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Brighten Holuby, Ronnie Holuby, Brent Cline, Brad White, Billy Ray White and the Eufaula Corp Project Office Staff/Rangers.
