Patsy 'Darlene' White, age 64, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, in her home surrounded by her family. Patsy was born on August 29, 1961, in Rome, Georgia. Darlene was known for her unwavering kindness and tenacity, which resonated deeply with those who knew her.
Throughout her career, Darlene dedicated herself to serving customers at Walmart in West Rome, where she worked in the Fabric and Bakery departments. Her passion for helping others was evident in her daily interactions, leaving a lasting impression on both colleagues and patrons alike.
Darlene's love for creativity was expressed through her many hobbies and interests. A talented artist and skilled seamstress, she spent countless hours nurturing her creativity. In addition to her artistic endeavors, she had a profound appreciation for gardening, showcasing her green thumb and an extensive knowledge of flowers and plants. Her home was often filled with the vibrant colors and fragrances of her beloved garden, a testament to her nurturing spirit. Furthermore, her affection for animals brought joy to her life, and this connection underscored her gentle nature.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, LaShae Royal, and her husband, Casey, of Summerville, Georgia; her sister, Debra Tillery, of Summerville, Georgia; and her life partner, Shelton Dougherty of Rome, Georgia. In addition to her immediate family, a number of special friends also survive, each holding cherished memories of her vibrant and spirited personality.
Preceding her in death were her parents, James Larry Tillery and Helen Beatrice Conner Tillery, who will forever be remembered as pillars of support in her life.
Darlene will be cremated and a private service is being planned at this time.
